As a mom to toddlers, I don’t have a lot of time to get ready. I need products that work, stay on, and make me look like I’m not an exhausted mess…haha. After experimenting with different products that last few months (similar to finding a perfect skincare routine which you can read here.) I’ve found some amazing products that are great for the everyday hustle of life.
I’ve also included which brush I use to apply each product.

These are the brushes I use and LOVE. Great quality and super affordable. Shop them here.

The most important thing is to start with a great base. For me, that’s where my skincare comes in. The bottom line though is moisturizer. You want your face to be well hydrated before putting anything on. I personally use CeraVe moisturizer.

So once I’m hydrated, This is the order I do things and the type of brush I use if needed.

  1. Elf hydrating primer. I use my fingers to put a thin layer over my whole face.

2. Use a foundation brush I pump Stay Naked foundation onto my brush and evenly dot all over my face. I then spread it on and blend all over using the same brush.

3. I dot a little of the Elf hydrating concealer just underneath my eyes ( I do not do a huge triangle) I use a finger to pat it in to my skin. I also put a tiny bit on any blemishes and pat into my skin.

4. I then take the Tarte cream bronzer and using my finger apply it to the area just below my cheekbone. I place it in a line going towards my mouth. I do this to both sides of my face and I then use a blending brush and blend blend blend.

5. I also apply some to my jawline and hairline and blend blend blend.

6. Next I take a cream blush. My 2 favorites are the Fenty Beauty in Crush on Cupid and Nars in Freedom (a little more professional look). I use a finger and apply a small amount to each apple of my cheeks and blend in using the same finger.

7. I then grab the Charlotte Tilbury Film Star glow palette and my highlighting brush. I apply some of the highlighter on my brush and sweep the top of the apples of my cheeks, my forehead, and down my nose. I then apply some of the bronzer to the same brush and do a light dusting on the outer edge of my face as well as a little on my neck.

8. Now that my face is done I grab my Almay eyeliner and draw a light line on my upper lash line and a very light line on my bottom lash line focusing on the outer part.

9. Next I use my Laura Mercier cream eyeshadow stick and basically draw onto my eyelid. This is all I do for eyeshadow. Quick and easy. I use an eyeshadow brush to blend a little.

10. Finally for mascara I use Covergirl Exhibitionist. Apply as normal.

11. For my brows, I use an angled brow brush and mix both sides of the Anastasia brow duo in Taupe and brush through my brows adding volume wear it’s needed. I don’t spend a lot of time on my brows.

12. I then use the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray.

13. I need something super simple for my lips and my 3 current faves are 1. Fresh lip treatment in Petal, Pixie lip glow in Ruby, and NYX butter gloss in tiramisu.

This routine typically takes me 10 min to complete. Super easy. Not fussy. Great for a mom on the go.

Warmly,

Michelle
